"The Persistance of Memory"I have been excited by the powerful images in the movie "the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari". Visually it is an interpretation of the mind of a madman - the way he spatially percieves his environments according to mood, experience, and the people who inhabit them.
I have started to research into Surrealist art, as it seems closely matched to the images of the spaces in the movie, which are distortions of everyday articles and environments in life. Particularly the work of Salvador Dali is excitingly inspirational for how his paintings evoke sensory experiences through association.
